Our Journey's story the past two weeks was The Trial of Cardigan Jones. We read about Cardigan being accused of stealing Mrs. Brown's pie and the court process they went to in order to prove his innocence.
We visited the courthouse where Judge Denny read us the story, gave us information about his job, the people he works with, and then did a mock trial of the case of the missing pie with some of our students. He then gave us a tour of the courthouse where we learned how each department works together to keep our community safe.
